Monday October 1st, 2018
The change in seasons is the perfect time to update your wardobe. Only a shortdrive from McCoy255 is the Del Amo Fashion Center. Whether you have a lot to spend or a little, they have a wide array of clothing stores. Explore Banana Republic, COACH, Forever 21, H & M, J. Crew, Macy’s, Marshall’s, Nordstrom, Old Navy, White House Black Market, and so much more. After checking out the recent runways, here’s what you can expect for Fall 2018:
THE INSPIRATIONS: Annie Hall, preppie realness, traditional sensibility, metropolitan attitude, Audrey Hepburn femininity, simplicity, Central Park, and New York city.
THE PATTERNS: Houndstooth, tweed, leopard print, preppie plaids (jackets – not shirts), and florals are very big for Fall.
THE CUTS: Modest but fitted silhouettes, ruching, billowy dresses, longer coats, statement bows, and cigarette-cut pants, colorful tights, minimal accessories (hold off wearing that beanie for a while), and Annie Hall inspired eyeglasses. Comfort is still at the forefront of these trends. No bulky sweaters or scarves or restrictively tailored silhouettes.
THE COLORS: Colors to watch for are warm red, light grays, black, gold, and white. Magenta even works its way in for this season for a surprising pop of color.
